Colonial Williamsburg is the nation’s largest living history museum encompassing 301 acres including some 500 buildings, homes, stores and taverns reconstructed and restored to their 18th-century appearances; tradesmen practicing 30 historic trades and domestic crafts; historical interpreters and character actors; and 90 acres of gardens and greens. At Jamestown Settlement, visitors are immersed in the world of America’s first permanent English colonists and the Powhatan Indians they encountered.

Jamestown Settlement Tour
Guided tour of the history museum, exhibition galleries, and film. Interpreters depict 1600s life at outdoor re-creations of the colonists’ fort, three ships, a Powhatan Indian village and a riverfront discovery area. (2 1/2 hours)

Williamsburg Tour
Historic Area guided tour and admission to the exhibition buildings, colonial trade shops, and colonial homes of the historic area. Also includes group admission on-own to the Governor’s Palace and other museums. (3 hours)

Yorktown Victory Center
Next to the battlefield where allied American and French forces won the decisive battle of the American Revolution in 1781, the Yorktown Victory Center chronicles the entire Revolutionary period, from colonial unrest to the formation of the new nation.
