dc memorial tourSpend 3 hours with a licensed guide taking in the monuments and memorials of the Nations Capital.  Stop and climb the steps at the Lincoln Memorial, walk along the tidal basin as you visit the FDR Memorial.  You’ll see the Vietnam and WWII Memorials, the Jefferson Memorial, the Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial and others as time allows.   You’ll drive by the White House, Capitol Building and Library of Congress.  We can include a lunch or you can enjoy your bag lunch from home on the grounds of the Washington Monument.  After lunch we’ll drop your students at the Smithsonian Complex with your choice of the Air & Space Museum, National Museum of American History or the Museum of Natural History. (Approximately 6 hours)

philadelphiaUpon arrival in Philadelphia, meet with your local expert guide for a Walking Tour of the city. You will see such sights as Liberty Bell, Franklin Square, Independence Hall (exterior), Betsy Ross House (exterior), and Congress Hall, plus more as time allows. Most students bring a bagged lunch from home but we can include one if needed. The afternoon visit includes touring the Franklin Institute, general exhibits before departing for home. (Approximately 12 hours)

charlottesvilleArrive for a tour of Thomas Jefferson’s Home – “Monticello” including the house, grounds, visitor’s center, plus a short movie. The house will be a timed guided tour followed by free time on own to enjoy the rest of the estate. The group would board the bus for a short ride to Michie Tavern for lunch and a Tour of the historic 1784 Tavern.  Get a taste of the 18th century and see how travelers were accommodated with food drink and lodgings. (Approximately 10 hours)
